This hotel is wonderful. It's really clean and the room I had, king size bed, was really spacious. The bathrooms are big and roomy. The hotel staff is excellent. Everyone was very helpful. They have a killer buffet for breakfast, so don't go out and try to find a restaurant, just eat in. The dinner menu is great. We had the Ribeye Steak and it was wonderful. We ate in the lounge and the bartender really made us feel welcome (ask him about his shoe obssesion!). The only bad thing was the weather, 100 degrees real feel. The walk to the Market is kind of far, so if you can't stand the walk, get a cab or ride the bus, because unless you get downtown early there is no parking available anywhere. I really got a great deal on this room thru the website and my priority club membership. I got more than half off the original price. This hotel is in a great location (safe). Some of the other places I had checked out before I went were in bad parts of town. I'm glad we got this one.

We spent four nights in Charleston in early August, and switched our hotel to the Holiday Inn because of the great reviews it received. We were not disappointed, the location was excellent, the breakfast at the hotel was good and the staff were very helpful. Parking is a bit of a problem at the hotel, but the fact that the church across the street allows hotel guests to park there overcomes most problems.
All in all we had a great stay in the town .l

What a lovely hotel and wonderful staff particularly the Manchester United fan behind the reception desk and the welcoming bar man! From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out the staff were excellent. The hotel was well above average and the position was just perfect, if you like a little walk as the sun sets, into the town.

We stayed for breakfast in the hotel and found the range of food excellent and the price reasonable.

Of course it goes without saying that the concierge was most helpful and booked us on a tour of the town in a blink of an eye as well as extending our check out time to facilittate it. The tour was excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel for longer next time.

“Nice comfortable hotel”

Took my family for our first trip to Charleston and decided to stay at this hotel based on prior reviews. I must say we were not disappointed, overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay. I would recommend this establishment. The only negative comment I would make was that some of the paintwork especially in the interior hallways and in our room looked like they could have done with a touch up of fresh paint.

We selected this hotel on the basis of the reviews-especially the good comments about Kevin. We were not disappointed especially where his services were concerned. We had great tours and meals based on his recommendations. The hotel was pleasant and comfortable. We, too, had a drain that didn't work but one call and it was fixed. Do not complain if you haven't asked to have things corrected. My daughter and I would definitely stay again. We were also pleased with the visit with the marketing director while waiting to see Kevin. She was concerned, helpful and friendly. She even checked with us a few days later to see how things were going. The only problem in visiting in August was that it was very hot and humid. I would go in the spring or fall next time.
