Heading down the I-95 corridore turned ugly when a storm rolled in and my wiper blades stopped working. I had to pull off at the 164 exit and decided to stay the night rather than wait it out. The Days Inn was close to the exit and looked inviting. I had a coupon book from the Carolina rest areas so I went in and inquired about a room for four of us. The regular rate was $77.00, but with the coupon I got a nice 2- queen bed room for 45.00 PLUS TAX - a total of @ $50.00.
The lady at the front desk was by herself and trying to juggle multuple check-ins, phones, and guest questions, but handled herself with a southern gentleness and calm. The rooms were clean, though our door was a bit difficult to open and shut. The tv remote was missing but Two replacements were provided in it's place.
The tv was older style, not a new fancy flat screen but it was large and had decent picture. The room also had a small dining table with two chairs, a mini fridge, and micriwave. An in-room safe, hair dryer and coffee pot were also provided.
Breakfast was free and continental in style - cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, and on demand hot waffles.
This is my second experience sith a Days inn off 95 - so far they have met my needs and particularlyin this instance, exceeded my expectations. Oh.....the mattress was very comfy, too!
