I would have to say that this is one of the worst hotels that my family and I have ever stayed in. The carpets were beyond filthy, the housekeeping was rude (when they decided to show up) and there was a party there with about 100 people that went on until 3am and they had no control over there guest. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. When we tried to contact Management about this problem he never returned our phone calls consequently we had to "catch" up with him.

Recently spent two nights in this hotel while attending the Little Miss SC pageant. We arrived after 4 and were given room keys. Entered room to find that it had not been cleaned. Called the front desk and two hours later someone stopped by and (very unhappily) cleaned our room.

We were in the room very little during our stay, but we found it to be dirty, a burned out lightbulb, and other little things that did not make the stay unbearable but they were noticable.

A complimentary breakfast was available, but there was not much choice so we didn't eat. The ice machine near our room was empty everytime we went to fill our ice bucket.

The staff was not very friendly at the front desk, although they were more than friendly about helping me when we decided to end our stay early. They did not hesitate to refund three nights stay.

I will probably stay here again because most pageant participants do, but now I will take some of my own things to make my stay more enjoyable.

“Will not go back!!!”

Landmark Inn

My family stayed at the Landmark Inn during Thanksgiving week 2006. Parking was a long walk from your room, unless you stayed on the ground level. We reserved two rooms. My children needed extra towels and was told there was none (Keep in mind, at the time the hotel only had approximately 10 guest). At one point we were not ready to leave the room for cleaning and was asked "Well what time will you be leaving because I am only here until eleven". There was only cheap soap in the rooms. No blow dryer, no iron, and the ironing board which was available was broken. I had to clean the room prior to putting my personals on the sink. The room smelled old, and had not been updated since the last time I stayed which was over 10 years ago. My children found a key in the room, and for laughs my husband wanted to see if it still fit the lock, it did. Yes, they are still using keys, and will not change the lock if it is lost (unsafe). You could here water running from other rooms, and conversation. Also I too a few pictures to remind me of this adventure later. We stayed there due to not wanting to leave our dog at home. He will go to the kennel next time.
