We were in Hilton Head for a weekend anniversary trip. We checked into this hotel. We were given a double room that had a strong odor of cheap perfume, we called the front desk and asked them to move us to a king room. This room had a better smell still looked run down and in need of a makeover. We went out for dinner and when we returned to the hotel we moved the ice bucket and there was a large roach, we killed it and flushed it down the toilet. We debated as what to do. The more we stayed in there the more we scratched and itched. We decided to vacate the room and went to the front office to check out. The desk clerk didnt act like he was concerned. He just said ok, you are checked out. This is just down right nasty. We do not live with bugs at home and refuse to have to pay to stay in a room that has them.

My wife and I took a one-week vacation to Hilton Head Island this summer and stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites .

While it can't compare to the beachfront tproperties, it was clean, the room was nice, the staff very helpful, and the free breakfast was good. Within walking distance are stores, fast-food restauants, and banks. The 10-minute drive to the beach is easy and pleasant. My only complaints were the exterior corridors, and the fact you cannot escape concrete--you have to walk across hot asphalt to get to the pool, the restaurant, or the miniature putting green. The sofa and chair in the room were very uncomfortable and should be replaced (bed the bed and the rest of the room was fine). Oh, and you may want to avoid parking too close to the putting green! : )

Overall, very good value for the price and the money we saved we were able to spend on other things...like parasailing, dining out, biking, and exploring the island!

Stayed at hotel during my son's graduation at Parris Island. Good value compared with hotels closer to base, with easy access to Parris Island (about 45 minutes) and Savannah airport. Hotel ads say "pet friendly", which means an extra $15 per night that is not noted on hotel advertisement. Hotel staff will not clean room if pet is present but pet owner is not. TV broken w/mismatched remote that never did work. Oh well, I wasn't there to watch TV anyway. WI-fi coverage spotty, with various rooms being in "dead zones". Staff very friendly and quite knowledgeable.

This hotel has a roach infestation!! We rented a suite. Our stay at the hotel was good except for 2 instances where we saw a live roach. The price was good, staff was polite, furniture/decor were adequate. The room appeared to be clean. The furniture was a little on the older side but considering the price that we paid we were satisfied. The drive to the public beaches is only 2-5 minutes. We were content until the 3rd morning of our stay when my wife found a roach crawling on one of our suitcases. The day that we checked out -my wife saw a roach crawling on the hotel's breakfast bar. Needless to say- we stopped eating & immediately checked out. It's shame that the hotel has a roach problem because it has potential to be a good deal for families looking for reasonably priced lodging.
