We came to town for a wedding and the bride booked this place for us to stay simply because of the location (it was close to the wedding venue site). The first night was fine, but the next day we noticed lots of small bite marks on my husband. As our trip grew on the bites got worse and worse and a pharmacists that we went to see told us that they were bed bug bites and we needed to request a room change. So we did. Our new room did not have any pillows and after several calls to the front desk we finally got some at 8:30 that night! Then the new room (a non-smoking room in a supposed non-smoking hotel) was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. The smell came in through the vent in the wall in the bathroom and filled the entire room all throughout the night. Even our two-year old smelled it and complained about it! The front desk had no solution or explanation. The tub would also not drain so when you showered you stood in the water from your previous shower!
We also had a run-in one night with some loud local teenagers on spring break who decided to party in the parking lot (which all of the rooms surround). Lots of families were out on the balcony (at 1:00 AM) telling them to shut up. We call the front desk and they send their security guard to our room because he can't talk (he was sick) and he had mu husband (a large guy) stand outside and yell at the kids while the security guy stood beside him! They cussed my husband and complained but eventually left after we called the police. It was crazy how the front desk didn't care at all...their response "well they'll leave in a little while"...it was 1:30 AM!!! We had a sleeping 2-year-old with us! We would never return to the Quality Inn here.
