We stayed here one night the week of October 7th, mostly because the Holiday Inn Oceanside closer to the beach would not honor a coupon from one of those travelers coupon books. Beachwalk did honor their's.
Though oceanside is better, as Beachwalk's name implies, the beach is less than a quarter mile away, crossing two fairly busy roads, but easier than trying to find public parking at the beach.
Staff was helpful, assisting my wife with a waffle-maker at the continental breakfast without her having to ask. A front desk clerk spent several minutes trying to locate a seafood buffet when I asked. Apparently, there weren't any but the hotel carries an extensive list of restaurant options with menus, which was a plus for a first-time visitor like myself.
On the negative side, the decor is worn and tired as was stated here before. That included the TV, whose reception was fair at best. There's also apparently a time-share sales representative on-site so be ready for that pitch. Still, I was not disappointed overall.
