The room we stayed in had a terrible smell that was probably from a dog that had been in there. I learned that on the day we left. The rooms are too small, carpet was old looking and the walls were dirty. The bathroom is very small and only a small person would be able to fit in it. This hotel is not for families with teenagers. If you are a single person and is only staying a night it might be okay but otherwise, spend the extra money for a better hotel, it is worth it. Please, take my advise and not stay here. I regret doing so.

Beachwalk is probably the best value on Hilton Head. The Hotel is clean, rooms and grounds just updated. Great breakfast. Excellent food and shopping are within walking distance. However for its name to be Beachwalk, if you are carrying more than a towel you had better ride to the beach from the hotel. You will end up walking some anyway as there is very little parking at this beach. There is a pull through that you can let the family and stuff off at and then go find a parking place elsewhere.

Can't say enough about the Beachwalk Hotel. They are my second family now and treat me like a queen when I am there. Everyone at the front desk are all so personable and helpful. I was lucky enough to get an extra trip in this year and they greeted me so sweetly. I can't wait to go back the end of this month. The rooms are always spotless. The breakfast is wonderful. Never having been to Hilton Head and not wanting to break the bank, I searched site after site and kept coming back to the Beachwalk.

Some reviews were good and others not but something made me think it was worth a chance for my family (wife and 2 kids) and I to try. The registration was quick and easy (thanks Jerry), the location was great ... not quite walking distance to beach but with the regular shuttle it was an easy trek. We were close to all points of the island and near restaurants and shopping. When the kids did not want to go to the beach, the pool was nice, quiet, and enjoyable.

The rooms are small and comfortable but we managed with all of our stuff. The breakfast is good (love the waffles) but get there early. The rooms were clean, staff attentive. Now this is not the Westin but for the money could not be beat.

We used the pool, the shuttle, the putting green, looked at the turtles, and walked around. The kids had fun and we relaxed which was the whole reason for the trip. No hassles! We achieved that and more.
