My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Hilton Hampton Inn for a mini vacation and to attend our son's graduation from Parris Island. The location is convienient to travel around the north end of Hilton. It was only 5 minutes to the public beach(1.00 an hour to park). At check-in, the manager gave us a Hilton Island welcome packet which was full of great stuff and maps. He then spent another 10 minutes to show us the maps and how to get around easily. He also gave us great tips on places to eat, etc. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit salad and a different entree every day that we were there. We used the pool every night and we mostly had it to ourselves. As in previous posts, there is a bit of airport noise, but is along the side of the hotel and out of sight, not overhead. You could not hear any noise inside. There are bike paths right outside, so you could bike to the beach and then bike on the beach which was very smooth.
We traveled 3 times to Parris Island during our stay. It took about 45 minutes and was not a bad drive. I would recommend this location to anyone attending Marine graduation and didn't mind a little extra drive.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The rooms (and the entire hotel) was very clean, the service was impeccable and the staff always so friendly. The free breakfast was substantial and offered many options. The pool was always clean and the perfect temperature, the pool furniture looked brand new. The location was terrific, close to the beach, marinas, restaurants, shopping, etc. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

My stay at Hampton Inn was more than I expected. The customer service was wonderful; the rooms were very, very clean and comfortable and the prices were reasonable. I accidentally left my laptop computer in the breakfast area our first morning there. An hour later, the front desk staff called me on my cell phone (that I provided to them at check-in) to notify me that I left the computer. We were elated that someone was kind enough to turn in the computer!

The hotel is not far from most places and we were not inconvienced in anyway by the location. I relied heavily on Tripadvisor to determine my lodging arrangements to Hilton Head and I was not disappointed.

We were looking for last minute change of scenery before school starts in Indiana. I found the 2-room suite pix on this site, called the hotel and booked 3 nights in the last 2-room suite available (all for well under $200/night, incl. all of the taxes). The kids room was just great...they had their space, foosball table included & we had ours...on par with what you have come to expect from Hampton. All of the public areas are immaculate. The staff was accommodating, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh, well stocked, and the hot entrees changed daily. By the way, even though the airport is very close to this property, only if you're outdoors, do you hear a plane. The pool was clean, but on the small side, and the guest laundry came in handy too. The location-- across the street are Italian, seafood, Chinese, pizza, burger fast food places, plus an Irish pub, a drug store and supermarket too. The 10 screen cinema is 3 blocks away and Folly beach access is 3 lights east. Overall good location.
