The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. While it is not on the beach (many Hilton Head hotels are not), the location is great. The drive to the beach is short and the restaurants in the shopping center across the highway were very good and reasonable. It is also a very easy drive to the Bluffton outlet malls. We took advantage of the fitness room, swimming pool, and breakfast. All were very nice. They also have laundry facilities for guests, which is most helpful for beach towels and bathing suits. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay an extra day. We will stay here from now on when we travel to Hilton Head.

Ok... I am here on hilton head on business. The hampton inn here is a decent place to stay. Nothing fancy. Nice comfortable bed and free wifi. Maybe 2.5 stars.

Since I was here 2 weeks, I rented a bike to enjoy the trails on the island.

However, my rental bike got stolen from the bike rack outside the front entrance. I had it locked with a combination lock that I rented with the bike.

I would advise all future traveleres beware of bike thieves and perhaps keep your rental bike in your hotel room!

We were very pleased with the room & service during our stay at the Hampton Inn. We had a comfortable, clean room with two queen size beds. It wasn't anything glamorous but was very clean. We were pleasantly surpised to find a microwave & refrigerator in our room. In the future, we will look request the suite because it was inconvenient for us to only have one living space. A separate tv/sleeping area would have been nice. The breakfast could have been better. We ended up going out several mornings because there wasn't a lot that we liked at the breakfast bar. The staff was very accommodating in anything we asked of them.

The pool area was quite clean. It was not at all crowded, and we enjoyed several evening swims. We also took advantage of the laundry room which was so nice, because we ran out of clothes by the middle of our trip. The airplanes were not too bad, we only noticed them the first couple of days because they flew overhead during our daughter's naptime. She didn't wake up or stir at all so that wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay here again.

I returned just this evening from a 2 night stay at the Hampton Inn on Hilton Head Island. I am a Hilton employee and was able to book at the employee rate but the normal rates seem to be quite reasonable for the location. I had a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds all to myself and there was plenty of space. The building is around 20 years old I believe but the rooms have been redone recenlty. All the bedding and furnishings were nice and clean. The staff seemed friendly enough and I like that they have an onsite security guard all night long. They have one computer for guests to use and I used it a few times and never really had to wait for it. The grounds seem to be well kept and the pool was also nice. The pool didn't seem to get much use so the pool area was always pretty clean but its still early in the vacation season, I'm sure later in the summer the pool will be busy. As other people have mentioned the hotel is really close to the airport and you do hear planes alot during the day from early in the morning sometimes to later in the evening but I never found it to be a bother. The hotel is in the center of the island and about a 10 minute drive from the nearest beach. There is a shopping center across the street and a few restaurants near by. If you want to stay at a nice hotel at a reasonable price away from the busier areas of the island, this is the place to stay.
