After a very long drive we were told we could get in our room so we could rest. The room had not been swept. Toenail clippings and bits of paper was on the carpit. Called the front desk and was told they would look into the problem. After about 15 min. I personly went out into the hall and found a cleaning lady and ask her if she would mind sweeping my room. This she did and said she was sorry for the condition but this was not one of her rooms. I thanked her for her help. Management never got back to us. We were there for two nights and our room was never brought clean towels or was the room ever cleaned. When we spoke to front desk their response was. [Were sorry] This was our first stay at a Hampton Inn in our travels to S.C. [ we have relation that lives there and travel there once a year] We contacted corprate office and ask for a response, also we sent them some photo's I took of the room conditions. They do not seem to care . So We will go about it in this way.

I've stayed at Hampton Inns before and have generally been quite satisfied. However this one was a disappointment. The lobby looked fine, but our room had a damaged wall, cracked tile and was not well cleaned at all. I was too tired to complain. Only the good breakfast saved it from getting a one star rating from me. I was going to say you get what you pay for, but it wasn't that cheap.

We used a free night we had through the Hilton HHonors program to stay here on our way home from vacation. Service was less than cheerful when we checked in, but adequate (Although we were rudely turned down when we asked to buy a room upgrade). The lobby was very nice for a Hampton Inn, but navigating the parking lot and VERY narrow driveways made it a chore to reach the lobby or guest parking. Our room was neat, but not as clean as we expected (shaving cream left on the floor of the room from the last guest, hair in the shower, stained pillows), however they redeemed themselves with the incredibly comfy bed (comparable to those in Hiltons and Westins) and easy-to-use wireless internet. Be careful not to flood the bathroom when you shower, though, because the curtain does not stay in the tub and water leaks out onto the floor. Breakfast was magnificent, with more choices than most roadside hotels, and breakfast and breakfast-room service was impeccable; someone came and cleaned our table for us, took our dirty paper plates, and was happy to restock the waffles upon request. Overall it is a decent hotel for what we used it for: staying one night just to relieve our drivers, but I would not recommend staying multiple nights, staying if you will spend a lot of time in the hotel, or staying if the price is above $70-80.
