I was on vacation last week at Isle of Palms and had the pleasure to dine twice at OVPH. WOW! This is one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting here.
The venison medallions, with the cabbage chestnut tart was outstanding. On my second visit, I had the NY strip. Very moist, tender and perfectly prepared. The monkfish entree wrapped in prosciutto with goat cheese whipped potatoes got rave reviews from everyone at the table. All of the entrees order by our party on both occasions were very well received and enjoyed.
I've been vacationing in Mt. Pleasant for years and just discovered this gem of a restaurant located in the heart of the old downtown. It's off the beaten path a bit, but well worth finding.
We dined both times in the front dining room, which is a bit more formal. The wait service was spot on. There is also a more causal dining area in the back bar room, which looked cosy and inviting.
I can't wait for my next trip to MP in September to have more meals at this supurb dining establishment.
