My husband and I spent one night at the Courtyard while visiting relatives in Spartanburg. We chose it because we had stayed here a year or so ago and been pleased. While it was OK this time, there were one or two "cons" worth noting.

The biggest minus for us was the lack of wireless internet in the rooms. With wireless almost everywhere it seems odd that a hotel would not have it.

While the rooms were clean, the bedding was quite wrinkled and a little shabby and the pilllows very much needed replacing.

On the plus side, the staff were very helpful! We checked in about 30 minutes before check-in time and had to take a room other than the type we requested. The desk clerk asked if we would like a small refrigerator in the room and it was delivered in less than five minutes! Amazing.

We would stay here again if they upgraded to wireless internet.

Stayed here one night (7/27). Front desk person who checked us in was probably the nicest I've ever encountered anywhere. We had worked all day, then traveled about 4 hours, having sat in traffic due to a wreck on the interstate. We were dog tired, and the front desk person was so pleasant and efficient, making our checkin a breeze (we had reserved online, so most information was already in their system).

Would stay here, again, if had reason to do so. Hotel was clean and convenient to I-85 BUSINESS, but, be warned, it's 4 + miles off I-85 (something I didn't 'catch' when I booked the hotel).

Before buying anything from the little 'store' at the desk, ask about prices. A basic ice cream bar (okay, it was Hagen Daz, but it was just vanilla ice cream with a chocolate coating) was $2.69....too steep for my 'blood'!

There are some fast food restaurants nearby, so we skipped the $7.95 per person 'buffet breakfast' and got a biscuit at the local Bojangle's (just down the street about a block).

Excellent hotel with the most comfortable mattress and bedding you'll ever find. Very clean and quiet hotel.
