We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast last October and we found it to be very good value for money. Everything was very clean and we had a good breakfast each morning . It was a little drive every day , but not too bad for traffic . If you are looking for a decent place to stay and your budget is not too big , then you really will not do any better than the Pink Dolphin.

“Fantastic and Relaxing Bed and Breakfast”

Pink Dolphin

29 Apr 2008

My wife and I were desperately needing a little vacation and decided to go near Charleston where we had our Honeymoon. We decided to do a Bed and Breakfast because we had never been to one together. We found the Pink Dolphin who thankfully had a room open. From the initial phone call you our checkout Dianne the innkeeper and her husband were completely inviting, helpful, professional, and personable people. The rooms were immaculate, clean, and perfect to get some R and R! We were greeted both mornings with a lovely breakfast and our second morning they brought it to our room! The House has everything you could want in historic beauty and modern ammenities. I highly recommend this bandb to anyone interested in a memorable, enjoyable, and relaxing experience!

We only stayed one night, but everything was excellent. The room was very comfortable, with lovely antiques, and the bed was particularly comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, and we were greeted and treated warmly. Got an excellent recommendation for dinner also.
Altogether, a very good experience. I would not hesitate to stay again, and would happily recommend the Pink Dolphin.

“Great Hospitality”

Dianne and Ken were extremely caring innkeepers; you'll feel like (distant) family. They were responsive to every request immediately and they were very empathic. The enormous home-made breakfast, which was included, made my wife and I feel like we were royalty. In house massage was great. We'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Pink Dolphin for two nights in early April 2007. We stayed a in a large room on the first floor with a private bath and Jacuzzi tub. The location was on a quiet street just two blocks away from the main street in Summerville and walking distance to several good restaurants. The room was excellent and was less than $100 a night for two with breakfast. The owners, Diane and Ken, were helpful with local restaurant suggestions and other information. Breakfasts were huge, home-cooked, and delicious and included french toast, yogurt with granola, eggs, sausage, bacon, and one of my favorites, sausage gravy with home-made biscuits.

Although Summerville is just outside of Charleston, we were in the area to visit relatives and unfortunately had no time to spend in downtown Charleston. We did find time for an afternoon visit to Magnolia Plantations, and we think Summerville would be a good base from which to visit Charleston if you looking for a place that is not downtown and is a good value.
