“Great Hospitality”

Dianne and Ken were extremely caring innkeepers; you'll feel like (distant) family. They were responsive to every request immediately and they were very empathic. The enormous home-made breakfast, which was included, made my wife and I feel like we were royalty. In house massage was great. We'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Pink Dolphin for two nights in early April 2007. We stayed a in a large room on the first floor with a private bath and Jacuzzi tub. The location was on a quiet street just two blocks away from the main street in Summerville and walking distance to several good restaurants. The room was excellent and was less than $100 a night for two with breakfast. The owners, Diane and Ken, were helpful with local restaurant suggestions and other information. Breakfasts were huge, home-cooked, and delicious and included french toast, yogurt with granola, eggs, sausage, bacon, and one of my favorites, sausage gravy with home-made biscuits.

Although Summerville is just outside of Charleston, we were in the area to visit relatives and unfortunately had no time to spend in downtown Charleston. We did find time for an afternoon visit to Magnolia Plantations, and we think Summerville would be a good base from which to visit Charleston if you looking for a place that is not downtown and is a good value.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Diane and Ken. We felt at home immediately. The house and rooms were stunning. The service was beyond our expectations. Diane was a gracious host, but always very down to earth. Ken kept the laughs coming, always making us feel as though we were family. The country breakfast was pure home cooked, with all the touches. I highly reccomend this B&B to anyone.

Our stay in the Pink Dolphin was beyond paradise. We travelled all over the world in almost every country and it's here in Summerville we felt love and southern hospitality at its very best. Breakfast at the kitchen table with Diane a famous cook. Reiki massage. Ken and Diane even took us to a birthday party. We felt like family and we still do so. The house itself is a beauty as well and it shines from the personal touch all over the place. Excellent!

We recently spent two nights at the Pink Dolphin, Summerville, N.C.

The stay was far too short because the Inn was so welcoming, cosy and comfortable and the Inn Keepers, Dianne & Ken, so friendly.

We had the best two nights' sleep we've ever had on our travels and the breakfasts were superb.

If you are an animal lover you will be well at home with the two Labradors, Margie & Ella while Muffin, the Parrot will keep you highly amused.

The Pink Dolphin should be the first on your accomodation list if you are visiting Summerville.
