My husband and I are regular diners at The Crow's Nest as we are often in Guernsey every few months. Usually, we walk away thinking great things but I'm afraid to say that our last 2 visits have been less than satisfactory! My husband works in tourism and regularly recommends the restaurant to his clients but I can assure you this will no longer be the case.
Our biggest disappointment the last two times were with the young, blonde female that served us. We were treated very poorly and spoken down to with absolute disrespect BOTH previous visits by this one young girl.
When we arrived we were asked to change tables three times. The whole time we were not impressed with this girls attitude and it was obvious that she did not want to be there.
Our main meals took quite a long time to arrive to the table and when we received them they were both barely luke warm. When notifying one of the other girls, the original girl came and took over. There was no apology and we were told they were supposed to be that temperature. I think not! She took the meals with a groan and brought them back with a terrible fake smile that vanished before she had even turned around! Again - no apology! It seemed a chore for her to take the meals back.
She also lacked professionalism (and subtlty!) by running straight to the other girls working, who were all lovely, and whining to them about it.
The meal, (temperature aside) was quite nice and the view of the marina is beautiful.
We've been coming here for so long and are usually impressed by every aspect but the last few times things have been going downhill. We're reluctant to return!
