My occupation takes me throughout the country on various marine construction projects, obviously I like to be as comfortable as possible when working away from home but I do not have a five star hotel allowance. I need not have worried 'Brookside' is the best guest house experience I have come across for many years. Having stayed there for the duration of the project I was managing I could not recommend it enough. John & Tess are excellent hosts and they clearly enjoy making sure all guests are happy. 'Brookside' certainly deserves the 'Best Guest House in Brixham' title.

We stayed at the Brookside Guest House during our visit to Devon for 11 nights in October. We enjoyed it very much, especially the excellent breakfasts. John and Tess are great hosts and their hints and informations about things to do round Brixham had been very useful. The room was spotless and the possibility to use WIFI was of great importance for me.

All in all Brookside is a highly recommendable place to go.

We stayed at Brookside after a hectic weekend in Plymouth. It was just what the doctor ordered. The room was a bit on the small side but this did not affect the quality which was excellent. All the little extra's made up for it. John and Tess proved to be first class hosts and nothing was to much trouble for them. A first class guesthouse which is run very professionally. We would recommend to all our friends. The breakfast is definitely five star and to die for. Thanks John and Tess for everything.

We stayed here for two nights for a long weekend in September and had a lovley stay. John & Tess were excellent hosts and everything was spotless. Although on the small side the rooms were adequate and had every little touch you could imagine (the Birthday card was a nice touch). The breakfast was probably the best we have enjoyed for a long time and would beat most four star hotel accomodation. Just a 10min walk into town with a regular bus service passing the door. We would recommend this Guest House whole heartedly for families and/or a romantic getaway. We will certainly be looking up John & Tess when we next visit Brixham.
