The unassuming exterior of this property hides what must be one of the best B&B experiences in S W England. We stayed for 3 nights and would unhesitatingly recommend this for a peaceful break. Located far enough from town to be quiet but not so far as to be beyond walking distance the Brookside experience is one to be savoured. The room was a little small but was more than compensated for by the range of amenities and quality of fittings which were way beyond anything we have experienced elsewhere in the UK and well deserving of the gold award accreditied to this establishment. The pot of tea and muffins which greeted us on arrival were the ideal tonic after a weary day of travelling and the hospitality and helfpfulness of our hosts simply outstanding. The breakfasts were good enough to leave us wishing they also served dinner! Even in late February/early March the back garden was a mass of colour and would be an ideal summer sunspot. It becomes difficult to justify the additional cost of staying in a hotel when B&B gets this good!
