We stopped off at the Lifton Hall Hotel for lunch on a return journey from Cornwall. We had our 2 year old daughter with us, but the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The roast lunch was excellent and very good value. We will definitely stop there again.

A group of us have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Lifton Hall and I felt compelled to write a review and praise Richard, Robert and their wonderful team. We arrived Friday night after a very long journey and received a really warm welcome. All of the staff made us feel very at home and nothing was too much trouble.
Everything about the hotel was excellent and the food absolutely wonderful - in fact we had planned to dine out on Saturday but couldnt tear ourselves away and had another fab meal in the bar (i'm still dreaming of the gorgeous meringues!)
I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys fine food and wine with excellent service

We booked into Lifton Hall by chance and we were pleasently surprised to the warm friendly welcome and enviroment we enjoyed.
All the staff excelled in their customer service - nothing was to much trouble.
I must also add how good the food was with great care taken over the breakfasts and dinners alike - fresh local produce was key to the fantastic dishes produced by the Chef - far better than other local eateries - a true star
The rooms have charm and suited our purpose in this warm, friendly family Hotel.

The owners have created a stylish and relaxing environment within a beautiful 16C building. There appear to be 4 maitre-d's, each equally attentive and charming. We had a soft spot for Robert who runs the kitchen and consistently delivered sumptious cuisine and sparkly wit. The ambience of the bar (with sun-trap terrace) is a big bonus. Loved the quality breakfast too, free-range eggs and locally sourced meats. National Trust estates of Cotehele and Lanhydrock are definitely worth a visit. Tom and Nat Islington London
