We took friends to stay at Roeberry as we had stayed there before and knew that they would love it. They are from the US and can be quite demanding but nothing was too much trouble for Dagmar. She has a real flair for making people welcome and at home in her home and this isn't something that can be faked. We had three completely different breakfasts and all were outstanding. On the first night we had dinner in the library at Roeberry and it was as if we were in our own private restaurant - the scallops were the freshest and most delicious we've ever had. The house has a fabulous position with views to die for and Dagmar is a mine of information about Orkney (she's a qualified Orkney guide) and places to eat and drink. All in all, I have to say that I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay in Orkney.
