Stayed at Braighe House on the first night of our maiden outer hebrides trip...

The friendly, enthusiastic hosts of Braighe House deserve their undoubted success as their attention to detail could and should be copied by hoteliers across the UK. Spotlessly clean and with every conceivable extra, it is first class. Spacious room, excellent food and service with a smile.
I am even prepared to believe that the entry in their visitor's book for August 2006 "Mark Thompson - BBC" is the DG being a tad pretentious!!!

We booked Braighe House mostly as a result of the reviews here on TripAdvisor and weren't disappointed. The room was clean and very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious, and the location and view was great.

The only suggestion I would have made would be the information for guests in the room - we had to ask for the code to access the wireless internet service - but this is a very minor fault and I would definitely stay at Braighe House again.

Having previously stayed in a few unpleasant town centre hotels in Stornoway, I booked Braighe House after reading the reviews here on trip advisor. I was not dissapointed, and cannot fault my stay - rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and cosy. The bathroom too was lovely with fluffy towels and power shower. Breakfast was great, the food was superb.

Yes, this accommodation is more expensive than your average B&B but it is definately worth paying that bit extra. I would not stay anywhere else on my next trip to Stornoway and would reccommend it to anyone reading this review.
