We had a family wedding at the castle and some people stayed in the castle itself and some poeple stayed in the hotel right next to the castle...everybody liked there rooms and the breakfast and evening meal were excellent...the wedding went to plan with no hitches because all the staff were professional and worked hard. overall i think it was one of the best weddings i have been to and enjoyed all what was avalible...good luck mr and mrs holmes for the future as it started off in the best way at the best place.

I have just returned from an overnight stay at Airth Castle. having read lots of previous reviews about this hotel I was concerned. However, it was much better than i expected. The hotel was beautiful - in the middle of renovation work. The room I was in had had new carpetting and paint but was awaiting the soft furnishings. That aside it was lovely. I am a picky traveller and don't settled for any old room so we did request one of the newly renovated rooms. They were all full but they did their best by putting us into the part renovated room.
The public areas were lovely, food fantastic and the spa was great. All in all I'd recommend this, especially when it cost me only £62.50 for dinner, bed and breakfast night.
One minus point was the snooty receptionist but she didn't ruin what was a great night.

On Friday 13th April 2007 we had our wedding at Airth Castle.
It was fantastic. The hotel could not have done enough for us. The Venue looks fantastic anyway, but as the weather was so lovely they had all the guests receive their Champagne on the Lawn at the front of the Castle. It really made it more special.

The Toastmaster done a fantastic job and added a bit of much appreciated humour.
The food was fab and the buffet at night was delicious. All our guests loved it.
All in all i couldnt have hoped for a better place to have our wedding. It really was a most amazing day and the hotel just added to the spirit of the day.
If your are looking for a wedding venue, its a must to book as soon as possible.

Room was spacious, comfortable and in fair condition but needed refurbishment. Competent food.

The hotel site is attractive and includes an impressive castle. Most accommodation and facilities are in the adjacent complex. The local area is semi-rural, semi-industrial but it is an excellent base for visiting the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife and the southern Highlands.

The hotel was notable for the staff who were, without exception, well trained. helpful and friendly. We attended a wedding there and the Master of Ceremonies was brilliant.
