From the minute I picked up the phone to make the booking, I felt good about this place. Burnbrae well deserves its excellent reputation on the basis of the warm welcome from Janice and Gordon and all the little touches they put into making this place feel like a real home from home.

Every little thing is thought about from spare toothpaste and toothbrushes in the bathroom to sweeties, sherry and an umbrella in the spotless and spacious guestrooms.

We'd heard glowing reviews of Janice's breakfast from other trip advisor reviews and weren't disappointed. In fact we voted our two meals there best breakfasts of the trip.

Arrochar is a lovely spot, with views over the loch and a chance to spot wildlife including deer in the local area. We only stayed two nights and could have stayed much longer.

So thanks. I'm sure we'll be back.

This is a fab little place to stay, you are made so welcome. The room was spotless and if you forgotten anything it could be found in your room down to a toothbrush and razor. Little dish of sweeties and sherry to welcome you as well.
Breakfast was superb, a full Scottish including haggis.

We ate next door in the evening in the Village Inn, a bit overpriced and the food was ok, nothing to write home or even here about.
The serving staff were all continental and some had difficulty with the English language. Seems important when you are trying to give an order.

We will return.

We attended a wedding in Arrochar at the weeend and have just returned from a fantastic time at the Burnbrae. What can we say, this place is fantastic. Janice and Gordon are great hoasts, you couldn't wish for better people, make you feel extremely welcome. We stayed in the double room which was like staying in your own bedroom at home but much bigger. It has a great wooden sleighbed which is very comfortable. The attention to detail in the room is 1st class, even down to the shoe cleaner and hot water bottles. This room has an excellent view onto the garden and then straight onto the loch and hills. The breakfasts are great, anything you want and Janice will make it for you. Try Jan's homemade jam or marmalade, delicious, you can even purchase some to take home. We will definately be back to stay again in the near future. We really didn't want to come home.

Thanks again Jan and Gordon, we had a fabulous time. xx
