I was staying at the hotel at the same time as disgruntled09 of merseyside, and all I can say is "some people are not happy unless they're unhappy". The only thing lacking at breakfast was vegetarian sausage, which didn't bother me in the slightest (with me being a vegetarian). If you ask me, why would you want a sausage in the first place,they lie alongside vegetarian bacon as stupid and pointless products. The staff acted profesionally, while being faced with an onslaught from disgruntled. Our stay was perfect, the food, staff and views were fantastic, and if you ask me the hotel is underpriced. I'd recommend the Knockderry House to anybody.

Do not stay at this hotel if you are vegetarian. At breakfast they had no supplies of vegetarian sausages, mushrooms, beans, hash browns, etc. Management handling of situation was very bad, one owner had agreed to a small reduction in price but another owner would not allow it. Hotel is overpriced.

We stayed at Knockderry House in April 2006 and it has taken me this long to write a review- what a wonderful place! Beautiful room, delicious meals and terrific hospitality, open fires and just across the road from the Loch, what more could you want.

My husband and I booked a three day break over the new year. the host and hostess were very hospitable and friendly. The food excellent and of a high standard. It was a cosy and comfortable hotel even though the weather was not kind. We made friends with all the guests and had the best new year ever. Lovely rooms and a lovely deep victorian roll top bath to sink into with lovely fluffy towels and bath robes. We can't rate this hotel highly enough and will definately be going back.
