This is the first hotel I have come across where check-in is at the bar! We stayed 4 nights and were given a nice room overlooking the sea. It was clean and comfortable. Free copies of a quality newspaper were provided (The Independent). Car parking more than adequate. Breakfast (included) was limited and monotonous - the coffee was downright unpleasant.
The hotel is well located on the seafront within eas y walking distance of the town centre. Helensburgh itself is a good shopping centre with plenty of restaurants. It's close to Glasgow and is also a good base for touring the West of Scotland.
