We stayed at the Balmillig in February for one night B&B. We were attending a wedding which luckily for us was just around the corner. This B&B was modern and fresh and the the couple who ran it were very friendly and obviously work very hard in maintaining its hight standard. Overall a nice stay and would return in a minute.

This is definitely one of the better if not among the best B&B's we have stayed in. Ideally situated, in a quiet location with access to both the town of Helensburg and Loch Lomond along with some excellent countryside walks. Rooms are of a good size, very clean with all essential amenities. The full breakfast is substantial and very good.
If you like walking a wealth of information is available in the form of maps and books not to mention, the local knowledge of the hosts along with their friendliness.
Definatly on the use again list

“superb accommodation and hosts”

Balmillig House

19 Feb 2008

We have just returned from a trip to scotland and stayed at balmillig house. my partner and i found the hosts John and Anne very welcoming and very knowledgable in places to visit and things to do, nothing was too much trouble, (even when we took a wrong turning anne gave us directions on the phone and even went outside of the drive to greet us).

The accommodation was superb in every respect, roomy, spotlessly clean and attention to detail had been clearly been thought out. The day started out with a hearty breakfast and and the food presented had been cooked to perfection. Fortunately the weather was very kind to us, (i think John and Anne may have had an hand in that too) but if the weather was bad there were dvds to watch and a vast array of books to suit all tastes. This is the first time we have been but we definatley will be visiting again. thanks Anne and John
