My girlfiend and I were looking for a relaxing place to spend a weekend away, and couldn't have been happier with our choice of both location, but in particular, the accomodation. We were met by our friendly host who gave us info as to what Portpatrick had to offer. Our room was spacious, but more importantly, very clean. The breakfast was outstanding, left feeling totally full and ready to tackle a days' walking! I have recommended the place to my friends, and we will return again in future without a doubt.

Dunskey Golf Hotel is a very cosy and pleasant establishment with a heartly welcome and superios surroundings.

We are golfers and we really enjoyed our stay for a couple of days.

Nice food and an excellent breakfast served.

We warmly recommend it!

I stayed at this hotel for five days in late September 2005 with a party of ten friends. The situation is ideal with the picturesque harbourside five minutes down the hill and the excellent cliff top golf course 400 yards up the hill with views over the Irish Sea to Mull of Kintyre, Belfast Loch and the Isle of Man.

The twin rooms with bathroom are generously sized, comfortably furnished and clean. There is a cosy bar and spacious restaurant serving a hearty breakfast and tasty evening meals. The manager was helpful in locating restaurants on the two nights we ate out and the golf courses at Dunskey, Stranraer and Glen Luce are recommended.

The hotel was excellent value for money and would make a good base for a seaside or touring holiday in Dumfries and Galloway even for non-golfers.
