What a wonderful find. I went with two friends from the USA to do a recce for their daughters wedding in September. Andy couldn't have been more helpful giving us directions and information. He even offered us his Sat Nav to find our way around! The food was delicious and the accomodation very clean and welcoming. Everything you may need during your stay is in your room, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities. Just perfect. I can't wait to go back in September for the wedding and stay another four nights.

We booked at the last minute and took advantage of the special offer dinner bed and breakfast for £65 per person for one night. I cannot remember the last time we stayed in a B&B for only £65 per night with this high standard of accommodation. We were given a room in the annexe off the car park and although it was rather small, it was immaculately presented and very clean. We appreciated the tea tray and jar of fresh welsh cakes. The landlord could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We ate off the a la carte menu and I can still taste those scallops - oooh - melt in the mouth! The lamb and steak were superb, as were the wonderful desserts. This Inn was a real find, we are recommending it to all our friends, and we will be going back.

We enjoyed a couple of nights at the Inn at Penallt situated in a beautiful part of Monmouthshire. The pub had recently been tastefully refurbished by its owners, it had wonderful views and had a vibrant atmosphere due to its obvious popularity.
The owner, Andy, was an excellent host, very friendly, helpful and efficient as was his bar and restaurant staff. Food was excellent with a good choice and meals cooked to perfection by a very talented chef.
Our room was very comfortable, clean with en-suite, flat screen TV and tea/coffee facilities available. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent with a lot of home made produce.
If in the area we will call in again and would have no hesitation in recommending others to do book with you - many thanks and best wishes.
