Very old hotel rooms, looks like it was a motel 6 turned into a Wingate. Rust all over the bathroom fixtures, running toliet (had to keep the bathroom door shut all night) Old furniture. The first night the Hot Tub was working, the second night, it was out of service.

Tons of hotels around that area- go somewhere else.

Good location if you rent a car. Only 7 minutes to downtown. Very easy highways.

If you can afford it stay at Opryland hands down.

The Wingate is a very nicely presented hotel. Our King rooms were very large with an arm chair, fridge, coffee maker, blow dryer included. Showers had decent pressure. Bed was comfy. Close to airport - quite a distance from downtown, so we ended up renting a car which was no big deal (cabs were $20 - 25 to go back and forth). Overall enjoyed the stay and enjoyed the great continental breakfast that was put out each morning! Well worth what we paid for it.

I stayed here for my friend's wedding because it was a lot cheaper to stay by the airport than downtown. Everyone was very friendly and helpful especially since it was my first time in Nashville. It was close to downtown ($20 cab ride) and had the free airport shuttle. I wouldn't reccomend having them call you a cab because I didn't feel safe with the cab person they called (I was a female traveling by myself.) Overall, I would definitely reccommend this hotel!

Nice property. Very clean room with wonderful bedding (I know the Wingates have been "upgrading" their bedding and this property must have done so) the mattress and pillows were very nice.

Breakfast had good variety with eggs and sausage, along with "typical" muffins, cereal, etc.

We used a coupon from the Traveler's Guide (pick one up at gas stations or restaurants) and the room was about $60. The coupons only work for "walk-ins", not prior reservations.

Good stopping point along I-40. We will stay there again.
