Loved this place so much!!! I went here as part of a very random road trip with my best friend. Other than being a massive Taylor Swift fan I really do not know anything about country music at all but as I was visiting Nashville I thought I would embrace it...and what better place to hear some country music than the Bluebird Cafe!? We went on a Sunday night when there was no cover charge. I wanted to book in advance but we couldn't for that night so we go there early to queue. Or what we thought was early.... there was actually a pretty long queue when we arrived so we joined it. After about an hour into the show, and a few people giving up and leaving we eventually got in!!
We had to squeeze in and stand by the door, but finally some people left and we got their seats at a table. Just had to spend a few dollars on drinks which was fine because we hadn't paid to get in and we would have bought some drinks anyway. Had a really brilliant night, amazing atmosphere and great music.
The staff were all very nice. The girl who was working at the door (sorry I cant remember her name) was really excellent. She kept coming outside to update the people in the queue and did her best to find us all seats. If you do have to wait in line its not that bad, you can see whats going on inside and you can hear everything too!
It's in a very strange location. I'm surprised we even managed to find it. But we were at the Green Hills mall and were driving back to our motel and I just spotted it on the way!
