The Hermitage has me covered in Nashville. My wife and I regularly visit this hotel when we are in Nashville. Three or four times a year we spend a weekend here. We live nearby, but staying here and getting away from home while staying in such a lovely place, near almost everything we want to do in Nashville, is always fun. Service is top notch. The rooms are spacious and elegant. The food is consequently outstanding. We had room service blueberry pancakes that my wife is still raving about.
Even when we just want drinks and food before hockey games, we will stop by the Oak Bar. The food is excellent. The service is efficient. And the atmosphere is civilized. We avoid the great throngs of people packed into the various local eateries.
Given that nearby generic, big box hotels, charge almost as much, I have trouble understanding why more people don't choose to stay at this unique, historic, and truly first class property.
