Over the years, we've stayed at all 3 offerings in Red Boiling Springs -- the Thomas House, the Armour Inn, and the Donoho Hotel. Thomas House is the one where we will most likely return. The old hotel has been lovingly restored to some extent (although much always needs to be done in an old, historic establishment). The rooms are all interestingly decorated and are all different. The owner of the hotel is gracious and welcoming.
Guests can stay for the night with meals included or just rent the room with no meals. Since we had family reunion activities that involved meals, we chose the no-meal option at Thomas House. The price was reasonable.
The beds are not new, and the plumbing is old, but a decent night's rest can be found here with adequate means to bath and dress. The only thing I might complain of is the need for a little more vacuuming of the room.
