My husband and I based on the reviews of the Best Western Fredericksburg booked a room by phone for 1 night. I called the hotel directly. As our trip progressed, our travel plans changed and we had to cancel our reservation. We called Best Western Fredericksburg about 6pm the day before our reservation. We were told since we had not called two hours earlier, we would have to speak with the manager Mike. He would be in the next day. We called Mike at 9am the next morning to speak about cancelling our reservation. My wife was not notified of the 4 pm prior day cancellation notice requirement when she booked the room. The manager insisted rather rudely that we were lying. He called us a liar. He was extremely unpleasant and loud with me on the phone and would not consider the possiblity of not charging us for the room. We will never stay there and based on him extreme rudness, I have to wonder how he is in the business of serving the public. This room was booked for March 26th, 2006. I would urge caution when booking.
