We stayed at the Liebermann cottage recently, and would say it is up there with the nicest (and cleanest) we've been to. It was cozy and quiet, and we had privacy, which is something we wanted on this particular trip. You can eat by yourself in your cottage, or outside with others (if they join you), when you are more in the mood to socialize.
The breakfasts were gourmet and delicious, but we we a bit disappointed to have an egg dish as the main en tree for every one of our four mornings. It would have been nice to have had - and we were really hoping for - the stuffed French toast, or waffles, etc. That disappointment was offset a bit with the peach and pecan scones we had one morning. They were out of this world!
Our only other small complaint is that although we had a closet to hang some of our clothes, there was no chest of drawers. Even a small one would have helped us not to have had to sift through our suitcases for five days.
That said, Joe and Carol are great hosts, and they know how to do it right. What you get for the money is, is truly a great value. I have my own 5-star rating system, and give the Cottages at Limestone a 4.5. We would recommend them to anyone looking to visit Fredericksburg.

Nice, clean large single room cottage with kithcen and sitting area. Hosts are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a excellent.

We stayed at the Cottages for over a week and absolutely loved it. This was the perfect set up, each couple has their own cottage with bathroom, sleeping, dining, cooking, and sitting areas. And there is a lovely gazebo area, covered, lit and with a fan, for socializing and dining outdoors if you want. The location is perfect, right off Main Street so easy to get to and lots of places within walking distance, but because it is towards the back of the property and has beautiful, lush hedges, it is a very quiet and private location. Last, but certainly not least, the breakfasts were over the top. They are gourmet and as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat. You will not regret staying here. You will love the location, the breakfasts and your hosts, Joe and Carol. We did!

What a wonderful place. We just returned from a nine day stay at the cottages and had an amazing time. Carol and Joe were so terrific , very accommodating to our individual needs and I can't even express how much we enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts. This the best experience we have ever had at a bed and breakfast. We like the fact that each cottage is individual with no common wall and had every amenity that we needed. We are looking forward to our return next year. Thanks for making our week of cycling in Fredericksburg so enjoyable.

Took a few days to relax and enjoy husband's 60 birthday, what a birthday it was. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by
innkeepers Joe and Carol, a delightful and charming couple.
The accommodations were wonderful, better than pictured on the website. The cabin was spotless, the bed soooo comfortable, the little kitchen so convenient, everything just perfect. And then there
was breakfast, WOW, what a treat! Served beautifully by our hosts, we've never been treated more "royally". Will definitely be returning over and over again. Of course, Fredericksburg itself is always such a treat!!
