“Vacation to Remember”

Absolute Charm Bed & Breakfast

27 Apr 2008

This was our first vacation together without our children in 25 years and it was amazing. We enjoyed the drive into town in the mornings seeing all the wildlife and returning in the evenings to enjoy the sound of the rain and cool breeze. The Calico Cabin is decorated beautifully and so uniquely. My husband was really amazed with the bell used as the light fixture in the kitchen.

If you are looking for a more spacious and charming alternative to a hotel room, this is for you! The room was nicely decorated and furnished. The hot tub was nice. The lady at check-in was very helpful (the only interaction we had during our two day stay).

If you are looking for a traditional bed and breakfast, this is not it!
There is no common space, and breakfast is not served on the grounds (they give you a credit to go to a coffee house). The house is in a normal neighborhood, so expect the same noises you have at home (garbage truck, neighbors trimming trees, etc).

This is a good deal for some (actually we enjoyed it, espeically since we appeared to be the only residents in the house), but won't live up to the expectations of B&B aficiandos.

My wife and I stayed at Terah's Garden. The accommodations are fantastic. The living room is cozy and perfect for relaxing in front of the fireplace (gas) with a drink. The kitchen has all the basics, so if you don't want to stay in for dinner, it's fairly easy to make a quick meal, especially with HEB only a few minutes away. I hope they add a few more kitchen utensils such as a chef's knife. But even without it, no big deal. The downstairs bedroom is cozy and the sheets feel so good, especially after a warm bath in the jacuzzi tub. We also had access to the upstairs room, but since it was just my wife and I we didn't use it. But, we're glad that the upstairs and downstairs come as one unit now so we can continue staying here even as we begin to have children and need more room.

Thanks to Absolute Charm for maintaining this fantastic place!

A long-time friend and I stayed in the Absolute Charm Ella's Haus in Fredericksburg, TX. I found this B&B quite by accident on the internet, but didn't know anyone who had actually stayed there. The house was exactly as depicted on the website. So quite and serene, so charming, cozy and comfortable. The decor is so lush and inviting, and all of our needs were tended to. I would recommend this house for up to a party of four, provided two of the four are smaller children. It's a little small for four adults. I'm going back to Fredericksburg in June, 2008 and will definitely look into another Absolute Charm B&B. Thanks Absolute Charm for a wonderful stay.

“Wonderful Weekend at the Queen Anne B&B”

Absolute Charm Bed & Breakfast

1 Apr 2008

My fiance and I stayed in the Aspen Room at the Queen Anne B&B over Easter weekend. The house was so beautiful! I had already seen pictures of the house and room from the web site, but being there in person was even better. From the cute front porch area, to the elegant dining room, to the rustic kitchen.....it was all perfect. The backyard has a huge deck area, where we relaxed after dinner. There was also a hot tub in the backyard, but we did not use it. Maybe next time!

The Aspen Room boasts the largest bathroom in the B&B with a jacuzzi tub. There is no standing shower, but there is a handheld shower spray in the tub. I really appreciated having extra room in the bathroom, especially with the bench, so that we could place our luggage somewhere. The room itself has a wall-mounted plasma television, which was a big plus! We also enjoyed the comfort of the sleep number bed. In addition, our room has a door that gives you direct access to the backyard/deck area, so that was convenient as well.

Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The food was delicious, and the cooking/cleaning staff was so nice and helpful. Our room was next to the kitchen, so I could hear breakfast being prepared very early in the morning. My fiance did not really appreciate the noise, since he prefers to sleep in, but it was helpful for me so I did not miss breakfast!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are looking forward coming back to the Queen Anne or trying out another Absolute Charm property.
