I just came from the Trois Estate and I am delighted to recommend this place to you for any occassion. The Food is devine. Troisi's Special is great. Pricey, but if you dont mind paying for good food than you'll enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were taken great care of. Upon arrival to the grounds I was amazed at the place. It's location is great. The current buildings are very pretty and have a tuscan theme. There is construction underway, but the plans they have give hope for a phenomenol place that I would love to return to see when its all complete or before. Its a romantic place. We actually paid to stay in the Bella Villa which is the next best thing to the bridal suite, only a little smaller. The door to the room was apparently messed up only I couldn't tell the difference. We were immediately upgraded to the Bridal suite for free! The grotto pool was neat. I was a little scared of it at first because its underground and painted like natural caverns. My fear gave me reasons to cuddle with my hubby. It was all very special. The owners love to make their guests happy. I appreciate when a place does their best to make it a memorable experience for you. They even let us on the roof top deck of their house to see the bueatiful night sky lit with stars. They have a dinner theater that is complete and should be starting to have shows very soon. They have a small chapel for Weddings and Mass. They have a large collection of stuffed animals from all over the world. Also the largest cap gun collection in Texas. Shops are in the process of being built to sell antiques and collectables, all created or owned by the owners. Its like you can see the owner's dreams unfolding right before you. Its a dream that all can enjoy. This place is magical and only getting better. The owner mentioned that constructions should be complete within the next 3-6 months. However we had no problems with noise or atmosphere due to construction. It is also 1/2 mile from enchanted rock and has a great view of it from the resuartant or terrace. I will definitly go back and encourage you to take a trip to Italy without leaving Texas.

I was hesitant to stay here after some of the negative comments that had been posted but it sounded interesting enough that I decided to take a chance. I'm sure glad that I did. This was one of the most romantic and relaxing three days of my life. The place was unique and exceptional in many ways. The architecture was kind of Anaszi meets Salvador Dali. Some of the details reminded me of the kind of thing Gaudi did with his buildings in Spain. Not only were there incredible views of Enchanted Rock from the wine bar and elsewhere but there were plenty of other things to see as well, including amazing collections of antiquities and other unique items such as the world's largest cap gun museum. The underground grotto pool was perfect for an after dinner swim and the heater was working fine when we were there. There was some construction but it did not in any way impinge upon our stay. It was in another area of the property. They are building more rooms because they have more people who want to stay than they can accommodate. The on-site restaurant was a treasure. We are strict vegetarians and with our special dietary requirements we often worry if they can be met, particularly in such a remote location. Not only were they able to meet our needs but they exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was not only beautifully presented but delicious as well. As good as anything I've had at any high end fine dining establishment that I can recall. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. Not only will we go back but we intent to have our wedding there now as well. We loved it.

“Unique southwestern setting. Great Place to relax and enjoy the view”

Trois Estate at Enchanted Rock

If you want to relax and get away where there is a great view (of Enchanted Mountain), fine dinning (excellent chef) you should go here. Located on a hilltop with wonderful views, the facilities are designed in a Spanish style architecture and the rooms are furnished with a Southwestern flare, blended with a mix of the owners eclectic collection of paintings and collectibles. There are several out buildings wich house various unique and unusual collections of artifacts, antiques, and unusual art. Much of the art is by the owner, Charles Trois, a very extraordinary and accomplished artist. You can enjoy fine dinning here in their fabulous restaurant, dine or have drinks at sunset on one of the balcony roof top patios with a fantastic view overlooking Enchanted Rock and the surrounding area. hills. The owners are presenty expanding the property adding more rooms and shops, but the construction does not interfere with the guest areas. We hardly noticed it. A great place to get away for a weekend!

“Beautiful Wedding at Trois”

Trois Estate at Enchanted Rock

14 May 2007
1/1 found this review helpful

Well, I am very surprised to see any negative reviews of the Trois Estate. I especially don't understand the person who stayed there one night and said not to have a wedding or reception at Trois. I did have my wedding and reception at Trois, so perhaps my review will have a little more validity...

If there is one word that best sums up the property, it is "unique". If you are expecting the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Manhattan then I would suggest you go to Manhattan. This is a true piece of Texas Hill Country with many worldly and historic influences. It is a work of art and my new wife and I loved it. There is still some monor construction in progress, but it did not distract from at all from the special experience we had or the beauty of the property.

We had approximately 50 wedding guests. All that I talked to loved the candlelit service and reception, and five people have told me that it is the coolest/classiest/most unique/most intimate wedding that they have ever been to. Rebecca is absolutly fantastic. She is a gracious hostess, superb chef, and invaluably helpful wedding planner. Her warm, genuine smiles, advise, and flexibility made the whole experince a pleasure to plan. Her and Charles are both wonderfully pleasant people. We had driving rain, snow, and ice which put a damper on our plans to move to the rooftop winebar after a sitdown dinner in the restaurant. Rebecca very smoothly and at no aditional cost relocated everything to the dinner theater which is amazing. We had no standing water in our room that night from the rain as one of the reviews noted.

We absolutley loved the bridal suite. Very intimate..candlelit...rose petals on the bed...you get the picture. We had children staying in one room adjacent to ours and were never bothered by noise from "thin walls". As for noises later at night, we heard none. I suppose it is possible that the people next to us heard our noise, though (it was our wedding night you know...)

I could not ask for a better wedding experience, and we plan on spending our anniversary at Trois for years to come. I would definately give this place a try if I were you!
