“Flag Creek Ranch Beware”

Bed and Breakfast of Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country

29 May 2008

This cabin was 15 minutes out of Fredericksburg. We had to cross two running water rivers to get to the cabin. One of them was two feet deep. Hope your driving a truck.
First, the bathroom was filthy. The kitchen was dirty and the sheets were dirty not to mention the hard bed. Was not worth the money. We only stayed one night. We weren't about to stay in that nasty bed again. Almost $300.00 for two days. Save your money and book a hotel.

“The Hiding Place thru Gasthaus Schmidt reservation service - loved it”

This was a really cute little cabin in the trees - we sat on the porch and watched the birds, and deer - it was quiet and peaceful. The cabin is very nicely done - decorated very well - the bed was comfortable - had a big oversized jacuzzi tub and huge separate shower - the kitchen was well furnished. There were lots of nice personal touches, music, books, magazines, fresh flowers. And the food was great! This was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Cherry St. Cottage through Absolute Charm B&B in Fredericksburg,TX. The room was luxurous & the bed was comfortable. Of course my husband loved the 42"plasma TV and the extra long jacuzzi tub. They plan on adding a private hot tub in the next few weeks we were told. We were located just a few blocks from the main street . The secluded neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. It seemed like every house was well groomed and well kept for a truly enjoyable evening stroll. Our experience with the entire staff was very pleasant. They recently hired a chef and the breakfasts were outstanding in presentation as well as taste. There was always much more than we could eat. We were served each morning on a silver tray directly to our room with our privacy considered, which we appreciated greatly. We will go back and ask for Cherry St. again. It was a very romantic and private atmosphere.
Sincerely,
Sharon and Steve Main

“Inn On The Creek Bed & Breakfast”

Bed and Breakfast of Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country

Our first trip and experience with Bed & Breakfast was in Fredericksburg at Inn On The Creek. We had such a wonderful experience with the beautiful & comfortable room, The Admerial. We just returned from our second stay at Inn On The Creek and surprisingly the experienced just gets better. I believe what makes Inn On The Creek stand out from all the rest of the B & B's is Liz's gourmet breakfastes! What a treat! You'll have to experience her cooking for yourself and believe me when I say, you'll be delighted with the results. Not only is the Inn On The Creek a wonderful place to stay, it will fit your budget with their different reasonable price levels. Thank you Liz for your sincere hospitality. We will be back!

“Good service, questionable accommodations”

Bed and Breakfast of Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country

We stayed at the Bed and Brew as part of a little Valentine's Day weekend junket out of Dallas. We booked the Bordello room for Friday, the Settlers for Saturday.

I think this place was probably quite nice several years ago, but both rooms we stayed in were very rundown. The Bordello's heat wasn't working and featured some prominent chunks of drywall/concrete falling off the walls. In the Settlers, the peau de soie they chose to paper the walls was peeling noticably. And it was LOUD. I would expect more for $100 a night in a little Texas town.

I also found it odd to pick up your keys and check out at the brewery.

They did put a rose, some chocolates and a bottle of champagne (the real stuff) in our room on Saturday, so that helped a bit. But overall, a bit disappointing.
