I had to travel on business to DFW metro, and I had arrived at my hotel down the road in Irving in the late afternoon so it was soon time for dinner. After quickly checking TripAdvisor, I chose Red Hot & Blue because it was nearby and, to be honest, BBQ just sounded very good to this hungry traveler. I was glad that I did. I was greeted promptly and seated at a booth; the waiter arrived shortly thereafter at my table to take my order. I selected the pulled pork platter w/baked beans & cole slaw, all of which were very good IMHO. My food was hot and prepared in a timely manner, and the service was attentive without being pushy or unwelcome. The portion size was just right and seemed to be fair value for the price. Since I was driving, I opted for a soft drink instead of an alcoholic beverage and was pleasantly surprised when it was brought to the table in a more-than-ample-sized bar pitcher instead of the usual cup or glass. The restaurant itself was fairly busy for a Sunday evening at approx 7 PM with most of the other guests appearing to be local families out enjoying their meals (which I took as a good sign :-). The ambience was nice, and the overall establishment was clean and appealing. If I am in the area again, or near one of their other locations, I would eat at Red Hot & Blue again.
