The hotel is very close to the airport. And you can access to the beach from the hotel garden. As soon as you arrived they greet you with a cold drink. The staff is very friendly and make a point to learn your name, even when you go for your first breakfast they know your name.
The hotel has a nice swimming pool, and lounges with mattresses; they also provide courtesy towels in the pool area. The standard rooms as well the reception area are a bit dated, however I been told that the chalets have been renovated and are lovely.
The rooms are large and airy, with quite a large bathroom. They have security deposit box, and tea and coffee facilities. There are even sleepers, a towelling dressing gown and a couple of umbrellas.
Breakfast has a good selection of everything. It can cater for the American, European and Asia tastes. Dinner was a bit spicy for my taste, so I left my main course untouched. To my surprised the waiter come to ask me if anything was wrong, I just reply that Balinese food was too spicy for my taste. He took it back to the kitchen and a few minutes later he came back with and offer from the chef to do some fry chicken for me. I gladly accept his offer. Please note that I did not complain or ask for a replacement of the main course it was just pure hospitality from the staff.
Another thing that is worth to mention is about their customer care. I ask my first night to have a wake up call at 7 in the morning the following day in order to do an excursion. I woke up in the morning at 7:40 and was confused about the time. I rang reception to confirm the local time and ask why they did not wake me up as required. Their computer system showed 3 phone calls and that nobody answered. I told them that the telephone did not rang , and I was upset because they were going to pick me up at 8 and I had no time to shower and have breakfast. The receptionist was so apologetic and order some pack breakfast to take away with me.
At my return in the evening I ask to speak with the manager, because I was concerned that if you have to fly and you are relying on a wake up call was not acceptable that your telephone may no be working. The manager listen to me very attentively and then when to my room to check my telephone. The telephone had already been changed but also he asked reception to program the computer to ring the next 5 minutes to give me reassurance that the phone/computer had been sorted. It did work and he also told me that the hotel leant form that experience and for the future if nobody pick up the phone on a wake up call they will send a member of the staff to know on the doors. That for me is excellent customer service, anyone can have a mishap but they make sure it will not happen again.
All in all it may the hotel and its staff make an enjoyable experience in Bali, and I will definitely go back there.
