We just have our stay for 1 night in this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is very good and clean as commented by other review. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, especially Laura who has already helped me since my booking through email and also while my stay.

Frankly, the hotel's location is not the best as it's not exactly next to the beach. However, we still agree that it's convenient enough as it only take 5-10 mins walk to reach the beach.

About the dinner, we haven't tried it in the hotel. There are lots of option along the beach and any of them should be great to let you enjoy a happy dinner.

To reach the hotel from Malaga, I would suggest to take the local railway (if not too many luggages) from Malaga to Arroyo De La Miel station (around 30 mins) and then by taxi from the station to the hotel which costs you around 5 Euro (around 5 mins).

I haven't tried any other hotel in the area but if you ask whether I would recommend Aleysa Playa, I would say "yes". :)

We have just stayed for one night at the Aleysa Playa, having read the excellent reviews on this site.
We can echo the comments regarding location, cleanliness etc of the hotel plus the friendly staff.
Having spent a week at a different resort where we had a lovely room with a wonderful view of the sea and a huge, sunny terrace, we were very disappointed with the view from the room and the noise. Room 101 is at the end of the building on the ground floor - from the sitting room you have a view of a wall and can only view the sea if you stand at the door. In addition, all the air conditioning units and the plumbing for the other apartments is located immediately ouside the apartment (this is the view from the living room window which had been covered with a tapestry) so it was very noisy everytime anyone flushed the toilet, ran taps or had a shower. This noise could be clearly heard in the bedroom so we gave up trying to sleep on the Sunday morning and got up considerably earlier than would have been our preference.
We also decided to have room service dinner and chose from the a la carte menu. The food took an hour to arrive, one course was missing and my fish was not cooked. at all. The explanation we were given was that the chef did not know how to make some of the recipes so had to read them from a book! They did offer us a complementary dessert and were very apologetic but as the prices were much higher than local restaurants I would suggest that eating out is a better option.
We were celebrating our wedding anniverary and a lovely bowl of fruit was waiting in our room with a card which was a lovely touch - however we would have foregone the fruit for the view.
If we were to go back - we would definitely not want a room on the ground floor again.
NB - be aware that if you have a car, you will need to park over the road and this is €10 per day so you need to add this to your budget

I have just returned from a week at the Aleysa Playa - what a fantastic hotel, we had a two bedroom apartment which had great sea views. The staff were lovely especially Laura & Rosa on reception. The rooms were furnished to a high standard with clean towels and beach towels each day. The pool area although small was lovely with no problems getting a sunbed at any time during the day. As it was an aparthotel there was also a small kitchen with a microwave & hob. The location was also really convenient a 15min walk took you down to the marina which had some great restuarants there were also plenty of bars etc just across the street from the Aleysa. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Aleysa and will definatley be returning again. Wonderful!!!

Look no further. It is quaint and special to the smallest detail. The front desk is terrific. All your queries are attended with very positive results. The location is on the main road but never disturbs you.The bus ride to Tarramolinos[great shopping] and Malaga is 20 and 40 minutes respectfully-costs1.20 Euro. There are beautiful places the other way as well. You must visit Mijas-30 mins. by bus, cost 1.20 .It is a fantastic village with great views of the sea below from on top of a hill.It should be romantic to spend a night here. The aparthotel has a lovely view[ask for the first floor rooms].ALLrooms have a balcony overlooking the sea,a sitting kitchen, bath and bedroom. The settee has a pull out double bed.Breakfast is good-hot and cold- with a choice of eggs, bacon etc. There are lots of good and reasonably priced eating places in the immediate vicinity. The fantastic marina / shopping/eating plaza is a 15 mins. walk down the prominade. All in all I am v. v. impressed. Thanks .HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We only stayed one night in this hotel at the end of our holiday, but I wish we had booked for longer. Very friendly staff, excellent apartments, probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Close to the beach and places to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel. The two bedroom apartment we stayed in was over two floors with a large roof terrace. Great for a family of four.
