Stayed at San Diego for 4 nights April 07. Had a problem with our patio door on arrival, reported it to reception & it was fixed straight away.
Reception staff could have smiled a little bit more but otherwise they were fine.
Rooms were very nice considering only 3 star & kept clean with towels changed daily.
Pool area quite small but because it was April & because the Hotel was full of Spanish pensioners it wasn't a problem.
Talking of Spanish pensioners! They were quite rude, they just barged in front of you & never smiled or tried to engage in conversation. Apparently they're subsidised at this time of year by the Spanish government to go on holiday, so most hotels were full of them although it wasn't too much of a problem.
The food was perfectly adequate if slightly repetitive but definitley something for everyone unless extremeley fussy.
The Hotel is situated in a quiet area with only a 5 minute walk to a small beach & approx. 10-15mins walk to the main beach, either along seafront or down through some shops. Don't listen to the reviews that say it's a fifteen minute walk uphill! It's not bad at all, unless you're not used/don't like walking.
Salou itself is very nice with something for everyone.
Booked through Globespan with flights going to Barcelona with a 1hour 15min transfer time.
Would go back as represented good value for money.
