“Excellent Family hotel, great food, great staff and fun atmosphere”

Just returned back from a weeks holiday at the Festival Village. It was a last minute booking for me and my husband and 2 kids and took my mum and dad too so didnt have high expectations as we just wanted to relax for a week. It didnt disappoint. On arrival we had to wait for our room for a little while which wasnt too bad as we we were all given our all inclusive wrist bands and could help ourselves to a drink whilst we were waiting.

Both rooms had 4 beds, a kitchen area, large balcony and was very clean and tidy, right next to the pool which was great. the beds were made every day (Just to let all you ladies know there isnt a hairdryer in the room so make sure you take one with you)

The food was EXCELLENT, must have put half a stone on in one week, had to keep going back for seconds as I wanted to try everything, a great variety and we didnt have a bad meal - great choice for the kids too who can be fussy eaters.

The staff throughout the whole of the hotel are so friendly, polite and helpful and always had time to talk to you - they work long hours but still remain very chipper all of the time. Plenty to keep you occupied throughout your stay depending on how hands on you want to be with pool games etc (be warned the pool is very cold so get in there and stay there and you wont feel it ha)

We did see some great entertainment - Sam, Frankie and Helen all fantastic you all do a great job (your all slightly mad)

The buses run at least every 10mins from outside the complex into Salou and La Pineda (excellent quiet beach), but if there are quite a few of you its just as cheap to get a taxi, the bus is about 1.95euros each one way.

All in all an excellent holiday, great place for the family to chill out, wonderful food and the manager is on hand to deal with any queries you may have and deals with them promptly and with a smile. Thank you xxxx

“Great holiday - good value for money”

Just home for a week in festival village. The hotel staff are excellent and very friendly especially the bar man - thanks for making my week excellent.

The all inclusive food is good with lots of choice such as chicken, beef, pork, potatoes veg, curry plus salad and bread every night. Also the usual such as chips, desserts were apple pie and chocolate gateu's and plenty of fruit. Plus a full english breakfast of sausage bacon eggs, cereals etc - the works! very good choice for all inclusive hotel.

The only downfall is that this hotel is away from the main spot so you do need to catch buses everywhere, these do however run every 15 minutes and i never waited very long.

I would reccommend the Dubliner pub down the bottom of the hill if you fancy treating yourself to a steak one night, its great and only 10 euros including a drink.

All in all an excellent holiday on a low budget.

“Excellent Value for Money”

We are just back from Fectival Village Apartments and are very happy with an excellent holiday package. Kids Club has a wide riange of activities for all ages, with the small park, club, internet, games room, loads to do, our kids ranged from 20 months to 12 years and within the hotel there was plenty for all of them night and day. Frankie, Sam and Helen are an excellent entertainment team.

Evening entertainment acts were a hit or miss but worth watching just for a giggle sometimes! Very good Jackson Five/MJ Act.

Pool and pool area were spotless, cleaned every morning and throughout the day.

The food had a wide range, slightly repetitive but catered well for the english guests, if thats your sort of thing you're good, would have liked to seen just a few more spanish options throught the week perhaps and some yoghurts, we were there for a week but could see it wearing thin if there longer. Restaurant was busy but staff were excellent at replenishing the hotplate and keeping everything clean and tidy throughout service with a friendly smile. You can help yourself to everything for a packed lunch at breakfast if you are taking a day trip or day out at the beach, this will save a fortune for a big family.

Bar staff on the whole were very friendly and the snack bar choice is more than enough if anyone want to eat between meals or just doesn't fancy a full dinner.

Hotels was very clean, we were there on honeymoon and had received a 2 bedroom upgrade which was a life saver with the kids (thanks), rooms are basic but have everything you could need with daily towel changes. Quite spacious with large balconies.

The resort of Salou and the surroundings itself has everything you could need for a few days away throughout your holiday and the organised trips through the hotel are excellent, just pick appropriately to age and abilities and you'll enjoy some great days out.

Only a few negatives, baby pool was freezing and just a tad too deep. Play park was closed for half the holiday. Pool was shut at 6 every night not seven as advertised. Jacquzzi was out of action for the whole week we were there.

Perfect cheap week all-inclusive in the sun.

Room Tip: Apartment block D for a quieter holiday

“Brilliant family hotel”

We had an excellent family holiday. There were eleven of us, 6 adults and five children and the hotel catered for all of us from baby age 1 to grannie. The staff are brilliant, very helpful...the manager helped me with my sons laundry lol, No task is beyond the staff they will do there best to give you any help and advice that they can. The restaurant food is great with a brilliant choice, we were there for two weeks and enjoyed eating in every day. The snack bar is also great with fresh food all day and untill 11.30pm, Hugh is a star and runs his cafe/bar to the highest standard, he is also a wealth of information, if you need to ask anything about the area or best places to shop, buses, markets etc then he will keep you right. There is good entertainment and some of the tribute bands are fantastic especially the Michael Jackson night. The apartments are large and ideal for families, much better than a hotel room. The pool area is nice and there are ample sunbeds. The childrens pool area and park are also good. We had been to cap Salou before and knew the area which can be hilly but there is a bus stop outside hotel with regular buses to Salou, and Port Aventura. If you are planning sightseeing or trips then a bus pass from the Plana reps are well worth it, you can get these from a booth just along the road from the hotel at the supermarket. Two weeks was never enough time for us to enjoy all that Salou has to offer so we are planning to go back later in the year and will definitely be staying at festival village. Wouldnt recommend this hotel for groups of singles eg hen nights or stag do's, it's a family hotel.
