This was a lovely place. we went as 2 couples and had a great time. It was a quiet hotel so definately not for partygoers. However town is within walking distance (with comfy shoes) and they usually had a bus going to town during day and at night. the food was great. rooms were clean although small and the staff were available 24/7 to help with absolutely anything. it was very suited to families but because it was so good i would still go back.

Room tip: Apartments are great but the standard rooms are also nice

We're recently home from our holiday to Salou and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel itself was very close to the airport, well equipped for young families, the entertainments team were fantastic and the food generally very good and varied. I even found my non-meat, low carb diet easy to cater for at each meal :O) Whilst the swimming pools were too cold to swim, our little boy still enjoyed the childrens pool which was supervised by a lifeguard. All the staff are English speaking and very pleasant and helpful. Our room was basic but all we needed to sleep and wash in for a week. Salou itself its a lovely resort, and the hotel was just a walk from the beach, town centre and train station. Barcelona was a 1hr 20min trip on the train.

Our only downside to the trip was that a small group of guests were alleged to be involved in some thefts of valuables, and the children belonging to the same group behaved aggressively towards ours, which did make us feel uncomfortable, but this was no fault of the hotel.

Room tip: go for a 3rd floor room if you stay in the main hotel - although its a trip in the lift every time you dont hear any noise from the entertainment each night

We stayed for 4 nights 25th-29th April and this hotel has by far the best staff and entertainment team! The food is really good. The hotel is very well cleaned. We really did enjoy it. On the downside the rooms are very small and we had no sockets to plug in a travel iron or charge phones etc and the rooms with balconies are more like big window boxes ( no table and chairs as in usual hotels). The childrens play area is very small as are the pool areas and I would not go here in peak times unless you planned on venturing out a lot but as it is all inclusive you do expect a minority of 'loud' adults happy to just drink all day and make sure everyone else knows they exist ( easy to ignore though!) and happy to just leave their kids to do whatever ( including using the entertainers as a babysitters when they were on their lunch break in the restaurant!) Thought that was a bit rude but hey each to their own. We had great time and would definately go back out of high season. Well done James, frankie, Ella, Jonny and wolf!!!!!!!!! best entertainment team we have seen!

Room tip: go for a apartment!

I visited the Villamarina Club with 3 friends for 8 days from 19th April and was very impressed. The food in the hotel was fantastic, plenty of choice and plenty of food at every meal time and a snack bar if you needed anything else such as burgers, pizzas, chips, etc.. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful from the cleaners to the bar staff to the management. For what we paid I really can't praise this place highly enough. The entertainment staff all worked their socks off making sure kids were all happy and there was also entertainment for adults with live singing acts, quizzes, bingo, etc. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment which was just around the corner from the main hotel and I would recommend this for families or larger groups as they are quite spacious. Well done all at the Hotel Villamarina Club for insuring we had a great stay here.

Room tip: For families and large groups book the 2 bedroom apartments.
