the hotel only seemed interested in the irish guests who were there for a 'hooley' as they called it. we complained to the manageress who simply didn't want to know. if you are looking for a peaceful holiday don't go to this hotel as the entertainers drive you mad all day shouting stupid games to join in. the so called evening entertainment left a lot to be desdired and you have to enjoy bingo every night , you had no choice as any decent entertainment did't start till eleven thirty in the television bar and that wasn't very often. we found the bar staff very ignorant when it came to serving the fully inclusive guests. quite a number of us would have returned home earlier if a flight had been available.

After reading some reviews,we didnt really know what to expect from this hotel.But we were really pleased with the standards here.We stayed on a half board basis and the food was excellant plenty of choices for both breakfast and dinner.the staff in the dining room were fantastic and very friendly.the hotels public areas have just been refurbished and are very open abd bright with modern furnishing and lighting.the reception staff were great,the hotel manageress was lovely always smiling and cheerful.the rooms are a little tired but are clean and comfy.we enjoyed a really great time here.
Bar prices are quite steep,with the pound being so low but you can upgrade on check in to all inclusive for 20 euros a day.This is well worth doing in my opinion.

I spent a week here in September. The hotel was lovely and I could not fault the food - plenty of choice. My single room was adequate and clean. The entertainment staff were wonderful. There were very few children there but they got the adults involved in the activities. I was very impressed with the disabled facilities in the pools. Unfortunately 2 days after arriving the hotel was set for 'Hooley in the Sun' and around 300 holiday makers arrived from Ireland. Their evening entertainment was great. However they returned in the early hours of the morning singing and shouting in the corridors and there were very many complaints. These were mature people in their 50's and 60's who should have known better. I would certainly return as it was a friendly hotel but would check they were not staying there. Santa Ponsa was and ideal resort.

just returned from the rey don jaime hotel everything about it was great lovely polite and friendly staff great food good choice for every one even very fussy eaters like me no complaints what so ever brilliant view from our room rooms cleaned every day with clean sheets and towels superb .ideally situated for all your needs .entertainment was very good .i would highly recommend this hotel for young and old alike everything for every one .would definatly go back and coming from me thats some thing special well done to all the staff kind regards mrs p quigleyroom 478 left on the 20th september 2009
