my husband and i have just returned from the surfing playa it is a must if you are looking for value for money,one of the best apartments we have stayed in. separate bedroom separate kitchen with combi microwave ,two ring burner ,coffee machine and a good fridge. living area very spacious with balcony.
no towels left on sun beds around the pool so any time of the day you can go and get a bed,also their is a supermarket just over the road that sells everything you need .
their is also a bus stop just outside that takes you to other resorts these aparments are a must.

Have just come back from a week at the apartments and I have to say I am glad we chose them. The room was spotless with plenty of space, good air conditioning and a lovely view of the bay. No lift hence the 1 star, but we felt it was more a 3 star place. Minor quibbles were thin towels ( but changed 3 times) and no kettle, but there was a coffee machine and everything you needed in the kitchen.
The outside areas were very clean and no fight for sunbeds!
Just minutes away from the 'little beach' and 5 to 10 minutes walk to the main beach.
We liked being on this side of the bay, plenty of nice restaurants and friendly bars with nice views. The Irish strip wasn't our cup of tea but worth a vist ,ditto the spanish square.
Tip for restaurant close by was the Rhein, we got a 3 course meal with wine and a drink for 28 euros and it was excellent, try the fish soup!!

Just come back from Surfing Playa on sunday 9th sept & can only say what a great place it was! They were spotlessly clean & have been recently refurbished...They are in the quieter end of town but a great spot if you dont want to be among the bars & clubs...The beach is only a 5 minute walk away & 10 minutes into the main area of bars & restaurants.....It was really quiet around the pool area, with lots of free sunbeds & the pool was spotless also.....Great place to stay & as the previous review states it is well worth more than the star rating it is given

Stayed at these apartments with my wife for four nights from 23rd June 2007.
The accomodation was excellent, very very clean and as commented on by previous reviewers why on earth is it rated as a 1*?
Our rooms were in block 5 and we had a partial sea view which we often enjoyed from our large balcony which had a round table and four chairs.
The rooms themselves were well presented and comfortable.
The main room had a large sofa bed and a large armchair and looked as though ithey had just been re-upholstered and were again very clean. New curtains throughout and clean linen with a towel change after 2 days. In all the time there I could not find a spec of dirt in our rooms. All the lamps, picture frames and nooks and crannys spotless.
Nice pool area and plenty of sunbeds.
Small bar serving drinks and snacks.
The accomodation itself is a ten minutes walk from the centre of the resort which is a really easy stroll and en route you pass several bars and restaurants. We ate at several and all were excellent.
One thing to note is that if you plan on eating at Fat Sams, don't eat anything for a couple of days first! The portions are massive, and I mean massive and were great tasting too. My chicken fajitas could have served three and believe you me I'm a big eater!
The beach was great with clean sands and clear water.
Saturday night is a lovely sight as all the locals have their own beach bbq and the small fire and circles of candles all along the beach makes a lovely setting.
We will definately be returning to the resort and this accomodation. Could not fault.
