“A convieniant and relaxing break”

We stayed at Viva Blue for two weeks, when we arrived we were checked in and in our room within 5 minutes. We were in block 1 to the right of reception on the 3rd floor and was facing the nature reserve which was very peaceful. (no bug issue as previously mentioned)
The first thing that impressed me was the amazing gardens they were well kept and very clean, in fact everything was cleaned within an inch of its life everyday!

The rooms were very big you have a lounge area which includes a table that seats 2/3 and a small kitchen area (still no kettle) all the kitchen equiptment was clean and looked brand new. The TV channels were limited but who goes on holiday to watch TV? Then you had a wet bar area followed by a bathroom with shower over bath, next to that was a decent sized bedroom. Access to the balcony was either via the lounge or bedroom again a decent size. There is a safe in the room, you do need to get the key at reception its about 15 euros per week. The pool area was very pleasant and there seemed to be something to suit everyone, it was very clean and was a nice temperature. As mentioned in other reviews no problem with sunbeds or shade. The beach is 2 mins walk and very nice, sunbeds cost 8 euros for 2 beds and a shade, bay very calm water and there is a sand bank 30 metres out.

The bar did nice food and had the usual snack bar options a little pricey for lunch and yes the staff in bar were a bit miserable. We used the shop for icecream etc everything else was a bit overpriced considering there is about 4 spars within 3 min walk!

We ate in a different restaurant every night and was never stuck for choice my favourites were topo gigio, s'abifieura and restaurant boy all within 10 minute walk. If you want a quiet drink there is a cocktail bar over the road from hotel called Es Punt or you can get Taxi to Alcudia for 5 euros for more nightlife. The reception staff the most accomodating and friendly I have ever experienced.

All in all for a european break and 2 hour flight I couldnt have asked for a more convienant relaxing break.

“A very nice resort”

I travelled with my husband and son (13 months). I really enjoyed my stay here and on the whole, the resort is very good. We were at the back on the road side, which was OK.

The majority of visitors are Scandanavian. The hotel was full of families with small children, so there were hundreds of pushchairs. If you don't like babies crying, stear clear!

The resort was immaculately clean both in the rooms and around the resort. There was never a problem getting a sunbed, no matter what time you arrived at the pool. We were self catering, but ate in the hotel several times, both at the buffet and a la carte, both of which were very good.

The hotel is well situated, but it is difficult to get on a bus. There are plenty of restaurants around and the beach is nearby.

The entertainment was more aimed at the children, but the staff did their best.

The hotel rooms are basic and could do with modernisation, but are clean and spacious. The TV is all Scandanvian and German, so Sky News is the limit.

The bad bits: the bar staff frequently short changed us. Most were very nice, but a few were rude. The reception staff were very nice, however. We were unexpectedly charged for a cot on top of our holiday price too.

The pools were freezing, including the indoor pool.

There was a wedding on on the Saturday night, and as it was raining, there was nowhere for the holiday makers to go, or for the entertainment staff do do their thing.

“Excellent!!!”

Key data: 2 Adults 2 children (Boy 8, girl 5). 12nights
I always gauge holidays by 'at what time am I looking forward to going home (normally only last 7 days)' - remarkably this didn't happen.
Hotel +VE:
Daytime entertainment (staff work extemely hard), facilities (5 a-side astroturf pitch, bikes, pool, table tennis), Pool (three different depths and had lifegaurd on duty, very clean), evening entertainment (Cinderalla was awful but kids still sat and watched it), staff, location (200m to beach), beach (excellent - could walk out 80m before too deep), Rooms (cleaned 10dys out of 12, new towels), grounds (spotless, cleaned everyday), can't reserve sunbeds (every morning (8:30ish) a little man removes all towels), english papers available in shop, food in hotel good (choice of 3 restaurants), lots of restaurants outside hotel (Tex mex superb)
-VE: TV is meant to be satellite (only sky news, eurosport) - didn't really watch it.
Fully recommend the hotel!!!

We have just returned from Viva Blue after 14 fantastic days. We stayed self catering as a family of 4 but you had the option of paying for breakfast or half board. All the staff were very friendly and both children enjoyed the entertainment of which there was plenty.
The room was large enough for us all and consisted of 1 bedroom with twin beds and 2 sofa beds in the lounge. There was a small kitchen area, dining area and bathroom. The sink area was outside the bathroom.
The whole of the complex was very clean and we will definately be going back again sometime soon.

“2. time Fabulous Viva”

We have just come home from 10 days at Viva Blue. 2 years ago we stayed at the Viva Bahia which is under the same hotel group and felt we just had to go back. We were 2 adults and 3 children both times.

Our biggest problem with the Viva hotels is anything else after it seems downhill. Especially the breakfast buffet. We are a danish family and eat a type of brown rye bread only found in Denmark. - They had it!! The standard and This company have thought about absolutely everything. There are even free washers down in the basement. A god send for a family with kids on holiday for 10 days.

The service was excellent and the cleaning top notch. We will definitely be going back again. We hope they expand their chain to other med countries.
