We have just returned from a 9 night stay in this hotel.
It is located opposite the Carmen Apartments, and about 150yds from the Sandia Commercial Centre where a good small supermarket and a few decent restaurants can be found (if you venture through into the centre of the building - Cafe Luiggi serves good italian food and very posh looking desserts).
It is approximately 350yds or so from the Yumbo centre, far enough away to enjoy the nightlife there without problems of noise from the clubs/late night revellers.
If staying at the hotel, request a room at the front (away from the slightly noisy road round the back of the hotel which seems to be the main drag to the beach/and every taxi in Playa del Ingles too), above floor 5 (the hotel is built on a bit of a hill so reception/ main entrance/ restaurant/ tv room is actually on the fifth floor, with floors 1 to 4 downstairs, and floors 5 - 12 upstairs as it were!
This is a bit confusing as we had a 2nd floor room and took us a while to work out how to exit the building thinking we'd come in on the ground floor!
The hotel itself is well maintained in the communal areas, decent breakfast served in the morning, although I hear lunch / dinner are not too brilliant just being a buffet affair! So either go room only if u are a clubber, or bed & breakfast if you can get down before 10:30am when breakfast stops!
There is a small pool/ kids pool and a whirlpool out the front of the hotel, the "tropical garden" just seems to be a few palm trees etc amongst the concrete, not bad, just not as expected.
The rooms themselves are basically furnished, costs 2 euros a night for the electronic in room safe, and was plainly furnished (furniture a little tired looking), however more importantly it was clean and well decorated, so not a problem!
The TV in the room is mainly Spanish or German channels, or crappy CNN and Eurosport germany for the Brits! However it's free of charge unlike some places.
There is no air-con or fans, but we didnt have a problem despite being 30c plus some days outside, good balconies with furniture too, nice bathroom with bath & shower attachment, and a basically equipped kitchenette with hob, fridge, sink, coffee machine, pans, plates etc etc.
You get into the room with an electronic key, and there are no problems with bringing people back late at night, if you ahem, meet a friend!
The other residents of the aparthotel all appeared to be OAP's/late 50s plus, and there were a few "group majores" signs around indicating it was very popular with older aged tour groups,a whole coach load of old people checked in on our last day! We, in our late 30s were the youngest there by far!
Not a problem, altho old people can be surprisingly noisy too!
There are 2 lifts to all floors, and a fairly pleasant bunch of people working on the small reception desk.
All in all, it was cheap enough at about £25 a night or £38 inc breakfast for a one bed apartment each, we would be happy to stay there again as it was clean, well maintained, decent breakfast, and good for the yumbo,oh and an internet terminal at 1 euro per 30mins in the tv room too.
I'd give it probably 8 or 9 out of 10,the pool could have been a bit bigger and was a little noisy with our rooms being on the rear lower floor of the building near the busy road!
