Stayed for 5 nights from 9th - 14th December 2007 after having booked the hotel separately through Travel Republic website. Had a room on the first floor with a view over the pool. The Hotel is lovely and clean but as it makes up part of a complex, there really is no entertainment of any sort in this part of the hotel which is fine. You really have to venture in to The Mediterranean Palace and take part in their entertainment or sit and listen to a pianist in The Cleopatra Palace. As the receptionist said to us when we checked in, it really is only a place to sleep! We stayed B & B as there really is no point in paying for HB when there are so many places on your doorstep to eat! Breakfast was great, lots to choose from including bottles of water and the good old Cava to top you up from the night before. Any kind of eggs were made for you which is also pleasing!
The Chill Out Bar (on the rooftop) at the Mediterranean Palace is a fab place to spend your nights and is very Moroccan in style and romantic! The 2 nights we went there for a drink, it really only was couples up on the open top roof looking out over the resort and sea - this previously was a nudist pool, however has been made in to an exclusive pool area for only 30 people during the day at a cost of 15 Euros each - well worth it height of season I'd say to escape the screaming kids around the pool! The drinks aren't cheap but it was nice to escape for a wee while!
Not a lot more I can say about the hotel, it was nice, it's location is great with the Safari Centre across from it with various nice restaurants/bars and trendy shops and you can walk anywhere for this hotel - Los Christianos or along the geranium walk to Costa Adeje and beyond!
