I've been to Port Aransas just about every year for the last 15 years and this was the first time we decided to stay at the Sand Piper. During our stay there was a local construction festival going on. It started early in the morning and lasted late in the day. It consisted of hammers, electric saws, constant banging, blaring mexican music, falling debris, robes hanging over the balcony obstructing the view, etc. No need to set an alarm clock cause they got hammers to wake you up! Sand Piper went all out to make us feel as if we were in a construction zone, which I guess we were. The front desk didn't care about complaints and were rather short. I talked to several other guests and they voiced their dissappointment and said that they had complained, but had a negative response. Upon checkout and being asked how my stay was and responding with my concerns, the lovely gentleman behind the counter simply said, "Thanks for staying, have a nice day!" Rude! Rude! Rude! We never got one apology! I thought of arguing but decided instead to just never, ever, ever, ever go back and tell as many people that will listen about how rude and inconsiderate the Sand Piper and all of it's employees are!
