A weekend getaway turned into a disaster! The room was antiquated with chairs that were falling apart and tiles missing. The housekeeping was fairly good but there was old coffee grinds still in the coffee pot. The weekend was met with rain which quickly found it's way through the ceiling cracks and proceeded to leak into the room on the tile floor which was a slick skating surface for myself and my three children. The room next door which my sister and her family were staying in leaked worse than ours. The manager did provide more towels (that we were expected to wash ourselves) to soak up the water as well as a bucket rather than offerring us another room. We attempted to dry the towels and my children's clothes from the leaking water and the dryer did not work. After trying to get the water in the faucets to get warm and my mother taking a cold shower I went to the front desk to ask for another room to simply bathe my children in and dry some of the clothes that had gotten wet in their falling in the room and I was quickly told that this was not possible (by the manager) and was told to go turn on all the faucets in the room and let them run for 15 minutes. We did this and did finally get warm water. We continually had to go get more towels due to the wet floors. It was a disaster! The worst was the ceiling in the room was buckled and rotting which gave us the hint that they had known about this problem and then the staff told us they had been "working" on this room just exemplifying the fact that they rented out this disaster room knowing of the problems and then refused to make the situation correct!
