I reserved 11 rooms for a one-night Sat. night stay for our sports team, calling the hotel directly one month in advance. Five days prior to our reservation, I called and spoke to the manager to confirm the reservation and drop the number of rooms to 9. I was told the rooms were being held in my name and that Thursday would be the latest I could cancel for any reason. I called on Wednesday evening and was told that I was only booked for ONE room and that they had no more double rooms available on Saturday. When I spoke to the manager, he informed me that the rooms were never reserved because I never game them a credit card, which I was never asked for. You would think during two separate phone calls to book and them confirm the bookings, that might have been mentioned if it was necessary. I've booked many rooms for our team with other hotels and have never had this problem. It also seems strange to me that they had a reservation for ONE room without a credit card, for which the manager had no explanation. There was no apology; the manager just kept saying it was my fault for not having given them the credit card (that I was never asked for). Poor management is obviously the problem, and I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.
